Contemporary design hotel, very stylish but breakfast is boring.

Breakfast in this branch is not as good as the breakfast in Yangon branch. Because I felt the quality of food is average and choices are limited.

It was opened 3 months ago. I love the hotel is brand new and beautiful and good price.

The spa isn’t ready at the time we stayed.

All the rooms have floor to ceiling glass curtain walls with laminated glass instead of double glazing glass for better thermal control. Because of that even though I switch on the air-con to the possible lowest room temperature setting 18C, it is too hot to sit on the couch by the window. I can literally feel the heat from the glass curtain window even on the coolest month of Mandalay. I don't dare to think how hot the rooms will be during the summer time with over 40 C temperature during day time. Another thing, this hotel is frequently stayed by many uncivilized Chinese visitors. If you are unlucky enough that you end up staying same floor with them, even you are in your own room you will end up hearing them speaking very loudly, theri kids running along corridor, trying to open your doors for no reason in the middle of night. The last thing is mosquitoes. Mandalay is very famous for highly infested with mozzies. For that reason there are lots of lots of Mozzies in the public areas of the hotel like Hotel Lobby and Restaurants even though they claim that they do pest control 1-3 times a week . Please bring enough mosquito repellent cream to Mandalay. I wish you good luck!!!!

This hotel is very new and large. The rooms are beautifully decorated and clean, the hotel provided everything travelers need e.g. all bathroom amenities including toothbrushes, refillable bottled water. The staffs were all very friendly, polite and eager to offer help. We got all rooms near each other as previously requested though not connecting two rooms. We also like the location as it is not so far from the cruise pier we are going to, and almost midway between Amarapura and Mandalay Hill. There is a shopping arcade right opposite the hotel. Buffet breakfast offered plenty of choices, nice set-up but overall standard quality. Wifi works ok though not so fast.

There might be some language barrier or more training needs to be done as check-in and out were rather slow. Also the staff emailed to ask for our flight number, which was a bit strange, then wrote to thank for our answer and that the 3 rooms were confirmed- while in fact I had reserved 4 rooms for 8 people ! I understand they tried to be helpful but this kind of mistake was a no-no right before our departure date.
